Effective January 1, 2024, Minnesota’s lobbying and public disclosure law will vastly increase the number of political jurisdictions that trigger disclosure requirements, resulting in a corresponding increase to the number of persons and entities deemed a "lobbyist" and a "principal." Lawyers who interact with governmental units at any level in Minnesota — as well as their clients — should be aware of these new requirements.
