Constitutional Law: Second Amendment Jurisprudence Throughout American History

This course will examine the history of the Second Amendment, the jurisprudence around it for our Nation’s first two centuries, the seminal twin Supreme Court decisions of Heller and McDonald, the case law since then, and the future of gun control in the United States. Learn about the history and future of the Second Amendment from the perspective of Matt Shors, who was the principal brief-writer representing the District of Columbia in the Heller case and chief counsel for a group of historians and legal scholars in the McDonald case.
