Learn the main steps of a Chapter 7 from initial client meeting to discharge. Understand what income, expenses, and assets come into play, the timing of case filings, automatic stays, case administration, working with the court and the Trustees, and the difference between discharge vs. dismissal.
Learn about the basic process of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy from filing to confirmation to discharge, including the most common reasons for entering a Chapter 13. Gain familiarity with some key concepts – best interest, best efforts, and feasibility. Learn about proofs of claim, plan modifications, conversions, hardship discharges, dismissals and discharges.
