This session will examine how bankruptcy may affect sole proprietorships, LLCs, corporations, business owners, and family members who have personally guaranteed company debt. Learn about the practical implications of Chapters 7 and 11, the automatic stay, treatment of business assets and ownership interests, personal guarantees, tax obligations, and pre-bankruptcy transfers involving family members. The program will also highlight key considerations counsel should evaluate when advising clients seeking to preserve a viable business, restructure debt, or wind down operations.
