Healthcare lawyers must routinely explain whether an activity is legal, and address concerns that are based on rumor, or sources that the person believes are authoritative, like trade groups, the AAPC, or even Medicare Manuals. This session will explore real world examples of situations where guidance or best practices are mistaken for requirements, and offer suggestions for allaying the concerns of the person raising the issue.
