At some point in every litigator’s life, you will either have a client who wants to appeal an adverse ruling or be on the receiving end of an appeal filed by the opposing party. This presentation will prepare you for that day by taking you through the who, what, where, when, why, and how of appeals. By the end of the program, you be able to determine which orders are appealable, know the time limits for appealing and how they differ in some cases, and advise your clients on some of the important considerations in deciding whether to appeal.
