Elimination of Bias: What Jazz and the Blues Teach About Diversity and Inclusion in the Law

Jazz and the Blues are about a lot of things, including struggle, culture, bias, inclusion, and resilience. Each of those concepts are critical to understanding and combatting bias in the practice of law.  In this program, the CLE Performer, Stuart Teicher, Esq, will use examples from the world of Jazz and the Blues to help lawyers:

  • Understand the difference between bias and inclusion in the practice of law
  • Realize how the culture of the practice contributes to the continued issues of bias and inclusion.
  • Learn how to take individual action that will promote inclusion in the practice
  • Explore the challenge of promoting inclusion in the legal profession in a post-pandemic world

– Stuart Teicher, Esq.; The CLE Performer
