Harmony in Justice: Using Classic R&B to Address Bias and Diversity in the Legal Profession
Discover how the powerful messages from Motown’s music can help lawyers confront implicit and explicit bias and disparities within the legal profession. “Harmony in Justice” ties iconic R&B songs to the essential principles of equity and inclusion. This program encourages self-reflection and practical strategies for promoting diversity and inclusion, challenging both individual and institutional biases. We’ll explore how these songs’ themes of empowerment, justice, and social change parallel the work needed to achieve true equity in the legal profession.
What the Space Race Teaches About Diversity and Inclusion in the Law
NASA’s race to the moon succeeded because brilliant minds were finally welcomed into the room. Professional legal educator, Stuart Teicher, examines how the space program’s evolution from segregation to integration—including the experiences depicted in Hidden Figures—demonstrates that fostering genuine belonging strengthens teams and outcomes. The program explores how building authentic professional relationships across differences improves client service, enhances decision-making, and creates more effective legal organizations. When law firms embrace inclusion the way NASA eventually did, everyone reaches higher.

He is very engaging, knowledgeable, and provides an excellent program.
I really like his style of presenting. I found myself laughing a few times – which I did not think would happen in an ethics CLE.
Nice energy for these topics, best ethics and mental health presentations I have seen.
Stuart is very entertaining and is able to hold your attention while delivering important content.
