All criminal defendants are concerned with avoiding jail and a criminal record. Protestors have the added concern of advancing their cause, which increases the ethical and legal complexity of their lawyer’s role. Knowing what is important to your client, advising them of their rights and responsibilities and working zealously on their behalf while adhering to the rules of professional conduct is the focus of this session.
