The practice of franchise law involves an eclectic group of laws, most of which do not apply exclusively to franchising. What is unique to franchising are the state laws and regulations and Federal Trade Commission regulations that make it a regulated business. These unique laws and regulations, especially the Minnesota Franchise Act, are the principal focus of this presentation.
