Minnesota is one of 21 states with an attorney oath that contains a specific reference to civility. Notwithstanding our solemn promise of courtesy, a lot of “ill-mannered” conduct falls outside of the reach of the ethics rules. Certain misconduct, however, is unquestionably both unprofessional and unethical. Join our esteemed presenters as they discuss the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct that touch upon issues of civility in the practice of law.
