How to Resolve Survey, Description and Boundary Issues

Boundary disputes, descriptions, and survey issues are the “bread and butter” of many real estate practices. However, they can be challenging to resolve because alternate legal strategies may result in different outcomes. In addition, because so many of these cases involve relatively small dollar amounts, you will want to learn the most efficient ways to evaluate such claims. Learn what to do when faced with “a line in the sand that threatens to harden into concrete!”

Sessions will focus on:

  • Principles and Conflicts of Land Descriptions
  • Reading and Understanding Surveys
  • Reviewing Surveys as Part of Title Due Diligence and Drafting Title Objection Letters
  • Resolving Difficult Survey Problems
  • Common Law Doctrines Affecting Boundary Lines
  • Resolving Boundary Issues through Negotiation and Litigation
  • And more!

Special Publications Offer – 30% Discount!
Attendees can save 30% when purchasing the hard copy or electronic version of The Minnesota Boundary Law Deskbook or The Minnesota Real Estate Titles Deskbook. Hard copies of The Real Estate Titles Summary Guide and The Title Examination in Minnesota Legal Quick Sheet also will be available for 30% off. Offer is valid only for the day of the seminar. Orders for hard copies will be shipped after the program.
