Experienced workers’ compensation and workplace safety practitioner, Karen Charlson, will provide an overview of both workers’ compensation law and workplace safety law and, most importantly, how these laws affect and interact with your employment law practice. What do you do when a worker is injured? Is an injured worker guaranteed return to work? Is the injured worker guaranteed a job reassignment if they cannot go back to their existing work? When does an injury become a disability? How long a leave must be given to the worker? What are the compliance and reporting requirements? Learn the answers to these and other important questions during this presentation.
