PFAS are everywhere – and so are the risks of PFAS regulatory compliance and litigation. Companies are facing intensifying scrutiny from regulators, courts, and the public over PFAS in products and manufacturing lifecycles. This presentation provides a practical overview of the science behind PFAS and examines the evolving regulatory landscape at the federal and state levels, with a particular focus on Minnesota’s leading role in PFAS regulation. Attendees will learn about Minnesota’s upcoming reporting deadline and PFAS-in-product bans, explore federal regulatory initiatives, contrasting state approaches, and novel theories of liability pursued against an ever-widening set of corporate defendants. The session is designed to help attorneys understand current obligations, anticipate future compliance challenges, and practical guidance on risk mitigation and compliance strategy.
