The overwhelming majority of family law cases settle without the need for a trial before a judicial officer. The reason is that Minnesota has well-developed ADR methods for resolving family disputes and an early case management system throughout the state that is used in family law matters. Both of these systems offer many opportunities for parties to optimize outcomes without resort to trial. Jack DeWalt, Melissa Chawla, and Christopher Vatsaas provide an overview of these processes as well as tips and best practices for using ADR and ECM in Minnesota.
All attendees will receive a month of free access to the LinkedLaw edition of Minnesota CLE’s Minnesota Divorce Practice Deskbook.
