Minnesota State agencies have focused considerable attention on environmental, health and safety concerns resulting from air emissions and manufacturing operations in White Bear Lake. This session will review public reaction to potential chemical exposure, the response of State agencies to an initial audit submission as well as follow-up enforcement actions, administrative orders and court proceedings. The session will provide the perspective of a legislator who serves those who live near the Water Gremlin operation as well as an award-winning journalist who covered all aspects of the State’s regulatory response.
