The issue of attorney’s fees often plays a major role in determining whether to initiate or settle litigation, particularly in consumer cases. In recognition of this, as well as other factors, the Minnesota legislature has enacted many statutes that provide for an award of attorney’s fees. This presentation will examine those statutes with an eye towards highlighting those that are of use in common consumer protection scenarios.
