New twists have recently been applied to Rules 4.2 and 4.3 including ABA formal opinions about dealing with pro se parties who may occasionally hire counsel and the limits of “scripting” a client’s communication with an opposing party. Plus, whether service of pleadings implicates Rule 4.2 and whether lawyers click “Reply to All” at their own risk.
