Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly proliferating. It will “drive” autonomous vehicles and enable internet of things (IoT) devices to perform relevant tasks that will save us time, offer convenience, and in some cases, also help improve our health. There is a great challenge looming, however. As vehicles and IoT devices become widespread and smarter, there is also a magnified risk that an operational compromise will not only be inconvenient, but more seriously debilitating, and even possibly fatal. This course will discuss the relevant legal issues and offer insight on the range of potential risk mitigation strategies.
