This seminar answers those questions and many more! If you are a new attorney, learn an overview of the essential real estate topics that you need to understand. If you are a seasoned practitioner, this course offers a time-saving refresher on key issues. The program will cover 6 key areas:

This course will be taught primarily by Matthew Foli, a seasoned real estate practitioner and highly-rated presenter!

THE SPEAKER

Matthew Foli serves as Senior Examiner and Counsel at Guaranty Commercial Title, Inc., in Minneapolis. A Certified Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association since 2004, he is also a former chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Real Property Section. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Matthew has presented to Minnesota CLE audiences, state and local bar associations, law schools, paralegal associations, county recorders, county surveyors, private surveyors, law firms, law librarians, and city attorneys. Beyond his legal expertise, he is a yoga teacher and an advocate for attorney well-being, having written and presented on the topic.

Real Estate Document Drafting Basics and Conveyancing Tips
An explanation of what information is absolutely required on all recorded documents, a review of various types of deeds (including quit claim, warranty, limited warranty, probate, conservator, trustee, custodian, and TODDs), a review of how to transfer title after dissolution of marriage or after the death of an owner or spouse, and more!
