How to Assess Credibility in Any Legal Setting

Getting to the Truth in Investigations, Interviews, Depositions, and Mediations

Back by Popular Demand!
Douglas Cash returns to share his expertise with Minnesota Lawyers. As a certified fraud examiner, forensic interviewer, financial crimes investigator, and as a private investigator, Douglas Cash has extensive years of experience in conducting interviews, investigations, and figuring out the truth. He will provide you with an overview on how to conduct any proceeding properly from start to finish, how to uncover the truth, pick up on deceptive answers, and share tips and insights on how to assess credibility in any legal setting.

Learn how to discern honesty from deception by:

  • Understanding how memory works
  • Studying emotional responses
  • Interpreting verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Developing your listening skills
  • Asking the right questions the right way
  • Recognizing your own pre-conceptions and your impact on the proceeding
  • Detecting the tell-tale signs of deception

Your colleagues highly recommend Doug!

  • Most interesting CLE I’ve attended.
  • Very knowledgeable presenter and easy to listen to for an entire day.
  • He really knows what he is talking about and showed it well, entertaining, engaging, and well-done.
  • I learned interview techniques and how to get the witness talking. I would likely take it again.
  • Excellent!
