Eye on Elder Law: Asset Transfers and Reduction of Assets

Originally presented:  March 15, 2022     |     Course length:  1.0 hour

Assets can be reduced to qualify for MA in one or more of four general ways:

  1. By purchasing goods or services the MA applicant or spouse needs or wants
  2. By making a permissible transfer
  3. By making a permissible transfer of income-producing assets
  4. By making a gift or transfer with or without adequate compensation, subject to MA asset transfer penalty rules

Join Mark Anderson and Patty Dunlop for a deeper look at the process of transferring or reducing assets.

All attendees will receive a month of free access to the LinkedLaw edition of Minnesota CLE’s Elder Law Handbook.
