This seminar will walk through the components of an individual income tax return to cover issues for you and your clients.

Avoiding Taxpayer Penalties: Ethics Rules Regarding Tax Positions  (30 MINUTES)
The avoidance of taxpayer penalties with proper tax planning will be discussed.

Tax Planning for Compensation Income  (30 MINUTES)
The tax consequences of salary deferrals, stock options, employee stock purchase plans, and tax-free fringe benefits will be discussed.

Tax Planning for Business Income  (30 MINUTES)
The tax consequences of S corporation reasonable compensation and LLC guaranteed payments will be discussed.

The passive loss rules and the hobby loss rules will be discussed.
