It is a well-known fact that emotional intelligence (EQ) is critical to your success. EQ is the very key to understanding yourself, managing your emotions, having social awareness, and managing relationships. EQ is essential to running your law office, to evaluating a witness, to handling a client, or for sizing up a jury. A high EQ helps you predict, manage, and adapt to many different situations, especially the challenging ones. But what are the keys to actually strengthening your emotional intelligence? What hurdles can get in the way? You may wonder how to best deal with someone who demonstrates a low EQ. This presentation draws mainly from Gestalt psychology and from Daniel Goleman’s insights into EQ to address these questions and to provide you with specific insights and techniques that you can immediately apply on the job and beyond.
