Jennifer Bovitz, Senior Assistant Director, Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, served as a felony prosecutor prior to joining the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility. Jennifer is joined by Joan Bibelhausen, Executive Director of Minnesota Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers. Presenters will discuss the importance of being a trauma informed practitioner and how being trauma informed will assist lawyers in eliminating biases in their practices and in the legal profession. They will cover common issues that occur in criminal practice from both a prosecution and defense perspective. Resources addressing lawyer wellness and further trauma education will be provided.
