When a public entity seeks to buy or sell real estate, issues arise as to whether the entity has the authority to do so, what procedures must be followed when real estate is bought or sold, and the method used to finance an acquisition of real estate. This presentation provides an overview of the authority public entities have to buy and sell real estate and the procedures they must follow in Minnesota.
