Senior Assistant Director Jennifer Bovitz of the Office Lawyers Professional Responsibility served as a felony prosecutor prior to joining the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility. Jennifer and her colleague, Keshini Ratnayake, Senior Assistant Director, Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, will discuss the importance of being a trauma informed practitioner and how being trauma informed will assist lawyers in maintaining an ethical practice. Viewers will be provided with common ethical pitfalls that occur in criminal practice from both a prosecution and defense perspective. Resources addressing lawyer wellness and further trauma education will be provided.
