In this series of six webcasts, presenters will cover the fundamental concepts of contract formation, interpretation and remedies for breach. The first program will address essential concepts, such as the elements of a contract, types of contracts, and reviewing contracts. Next, we will address contract formation issues, such as offer and acceptance, consideration and capacity issues. The third program will focus on contract interpretation, including intent, statute of frauds and conditions precedent. In the next two programs, presenters will discuss performance issues, such as illegality, impossibility and assignment, and contract breach and choice of law. Finally, we will take a look at contract drafting – from the perspective of both the business lawyer and the litigator.
