Topics will include when to use and the differences between a common law power of attorney and the Minnesota Statutory Short Form Power of Attorney; tax treatment of a power of attorney; provisions related to intrusive mental health treatment under a health care directive; alternatives to powers of attorney and health care directives; and practical uses for each document.
