The 2012 Family Law Institute features many new speakers, including guest speakers:

Nina Meierding
Nina Meierding was the Director and Senior Mediator of the Mediation Center for Family Law in Ventura, California from 1985-2007 and has mediated more than 4,000 disputes.  She is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law and Southern Methodist University, and has taught communication and culture seminars in England, Ireland, Sweden, Scotland, India and throughout the U.S.

Barron Henley
Barron Henley is an attorney, legal technologist and founding member and president of Affinity Consulting Group LLC, in Columbus, Ohio, which has provided legal technology consulting to more than 500 law firms nationwide. He offers cost-saving ideas for purchasing equipment, and new ideas on how to use technology, giving specific examples and recommendations.

Mario Ventrelli
Since 1995, Mr. Ventrelli has practiced solely in the area of matrimonial law. A partner with the firm, Mr. Ventrelli has been a member of Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP for more than a decade. Over his 15 years of practice, Mr. Ventrelli has represented leaders in the business world and professions, influential civic and political personalities, celebrities, and professional athletes. Since 2006, Mr. Ventrelli has been a member of the Illinois Leading Lawyers Network and was named a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in 2008.  In both 2010 and 2011, Mr. Ventrelli was named one of the “Best Lawyers In America” by the Naifeh & Smith publication.

Dale Carpenter
Professor Dale Carpenter teaches and writes in the areas of constitu-tional law, the First Amendment, and sexual orientation and the law. In 2007, he was appointed the Earl R. Larson Professor of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law. He was the Julius E. Davis Professor of Law for 2006-07 and the Vance K. Opperman Research Scholar for 2003-04. Professor Carpenter was chosen the Stanley V. Kinyon Teacher of the Year for 2003-04 and 2005-06 and was the Tenured Teacher of the Year for 2006-07. Since 2004, he has served as an editor of Constitutional Commentary.
