Franchise Law Series: Look Before You Leap – Navigating the Franchise Disclosure and Registration Maze

Federal and state franchising laws present interesting challenges for franchisors and their counsel. The failure to comply with these laws can create significant liability for the franchisor and, ultimately, its counsel. This session will address a franchisor’s obligation to provide pre-sale disclosures to prospective franchisees through a comprehensive disclosure document. It also will examine a franchisor’s duty to register to sell franchises in certain states before offering franchises.

This webcast is the second in a series of three Minnesota CLE webcast programs devoted to franchise law. The first webcast in the series, held April 20, covers The Accidental Franchise. The third one, held June 14, covers Minnesota Franchise Relationship Law.
