Improving Your Legal Negotiating Skills (1 or 2 days)

Understanding the negotiating process and techniques, and developing a negotiation plan can only enhance your chances for a successful negotiation result. You will learn how to begin your negotiations, how to conduct your negotiations and how to deal with the negotiating techniques of your adversary. You will experiment with different styles of negotiation and assess their effect on you and your opponent. You will practice techniques appropriate to the different stages of a negotiation, practice preparation with a colleague, and give and receive feedback on your performance. You will begin to develop a greater confidence in your ability to negotiate with the best.
